Planning

I had so many plans what I really need to do before I'll leave this continent, like duties connected with the uni, however... it seems that nothing works in the winter in here. Hm...whatever...
I am leaving for about 2 weeks, wait for it... some African news n' pictures will come soon

This week starts Spring 06 English Village.... aaaah... I'm so jealous....

What the.... smell?

Imagine the situation: after few days you enter your dorm-room and there is some really bad smell coming from somewhere. There is no old food, no too full rubbish bin, no dirty socks or any other parts of clothes (it is actually quite clean in here) - but what the heck is this then??? Any expereience with similar situations? Anybody?

This is where I spend my childhood 1

First of all I live in the train. That’s where I am right now and I finally have things to do – of course that I am writing a blog. Gosh, why haven’t I started that earlier? I assume that not many people are reading these words (because I didn’t present the web address too much/enough), however I find this as a quite cool medium of communication.

Back to travelling– as some of you know, my home university is not in Prague, it is in one of the regional centers on the east of the Republic which is called Zlin. And this city is about 300 km (186.41 miles – as Mr. Word has converted) from Prague. It altogether takes about 4 hours to get there, if the conductor avoids his passion for hitting cars/animals/people that are trying to cross the track at the wrong time…
8 hours every week that is lots of time for doing various things. Well, mostly sleeping, listening to the music or doing homeworks, but you can also get drunk in the dining coach (beer for 1 EUR) or chat with people around – you can be sure you will meet lots of them… Also, you can find old friends traveling the same direction – that is why I am going to cut this post soon, because I will arrive to the station where one of my schoolmates will join me. I haven’t seen her for 2 years, ha ha …

More about the city of Zlin: About hundred years ago it was a middle of nowhere – well, for some of us, it still is. However, at that time there was this guy, Tomas Bata that started his business in shoemaking. He was quite successful, and in few decades he became one of the biggest shoemakers in the world. He diversified his product and Zlin became one of the most important cities in the former Czechoslovakia of the first half of the century where truly global company was based.
However 2.ww and beginning of socialism in the middle Europe caused that this company was nationalized and some of its founders moved to Canada and or South America. The huge factory however stayed in Zlin and was operational until early nineties.
Nowadays, because this factory is what actually makes the center of the city, all the industrial part of the city becomes an administrative center and also university campus. More about the Tomas Bata Uni later, we are arriving the station…

Back in Prague

The advantage of my current schedule is that my classes are only from Monday to Wednesday so I can go home every week. The disadvantage is that I have nothing to do. I mean...nothing useful. I have printed out all my pictures from past two years, from Korea, Huddersfield, all around Europe, which in total makes like 500 pictures. Now comes the "duty" to go out every night and show them to all the friends, friends of friends...
That actually caused that I might finally get a flatmate!! Still under discussion....

On the way home

Don't ask me how, but the Microeconomics2 exam has been successfully passed ("f-yeah!") so there is only one more to go from all the Fall 2005 exams. How cool is that? Well, not very cool - comparing to most of my schoolmates that are already enjoying weeks of holidays...
Anyway, the teacher signed my Index of study duties (more about this overwhelming document some other time), I went to the dorm to pack my stuff, had a shot of soju (yesss, there is still some left!) with my cousin and took a train back to Prague.
It's interesting what you can sometimes see on the sides of the track...

This was partly a reason why I got home around midnight...

I can't be more dumb...ee...smarter

Right... since I have started a blog I guess I should post some news... hmmm... that is sometimes quite hard - especially when all the time you should sleep (that's like when it's dark outside, like night, innit?), you are spending it with microeconomics books... What the hell is this about??? And more important - what for is to know like 147 graphs of... of what? I don't dig this education system AT ALL!!!

If I presume that I am an average human (ok, mostly average, sometimes better, sometimes worse), how long can I live like this? Any useful answers appreciated.
